One of our members shared an interesting slideshow that he came across on tips to presenting effectively.  (Although the beginning of the slideshow seems to be more like a sales pitch to buy the book, we nonetheless felt there was useful content in the rest of the slides.)

• Have a story to tell
• Add pictures or images to your presentation.
• Use fewer, simpler words.
• More pictures make a presentation easier to remember.
• Dress up numbers.  (You’ll know what this means at Slide 40.)
• Practice body language and vocal tone.
• Practice as much as you can.
• Have fun!
